MÜHLE - Sustainable Shaving Brand

Since its establishment in 1945, MÜHLE has been a pioneer in sustainable shaving products. In 2021, the brand launched the first safety razor designed to meet the needs of all users, irrespective of gender.

Founding - 1945 Otto Johannes Müller founded the business after returning from the war. He crafted the first shaving brushes and developed the MÜHLE signet.

New Generation - 1965 Hans-Jürgen Müller took over the company, which had grown to 40 employees. MÜHLE started exporting its products to 36 countries.

Expropriation - 1972 Under pressure from the German Democratic Republic, Hans-Jürgen Müller sold the company, and MÜHLE became a state-owned enterprise.

Taking Leave - 1987 After rebranding, the company only manufactured brushes for the state. Hans-Jürgen Müller became a self-employed brush maker.

New Beginning - 1990 With the evolution of a new Europe, Hans-Jürgen Müller reclaimed the family business, trading as Hans-Jürgen Müller KG, maintaining the MÜHLE signet.

Celebrating 50 Years - 1995 MÜHLE faced challenges after reunification, but gradually won new customers and rehired former employees.

Boom - 2006 The dawn of a new millennium saw the expansion of the product range to include a full line of wet shaving goods. The MÜHLE brand rose to prominence.

How to use: - Unscrew the safety razor into three parts with clean, dry hands - Place the blade over the pins and reassemble - Apply shaving cream or soap to the beard hair - Hold the razor at a 30° angle to the skin - Use short, straight, downward strokes to remove beard hair - Shave in the direction of beard hair growth - Reapply shaving cream and repeat, shaving across the beard grain
